The Team — It's the people that make Money Market One so good!
Lee Epstein
Chief Executive Officer

The founder of Money Market One, Lee lives in San Francisco with his daughter Lilly.

Our clients benefit from Lee's expertise in drafting investment policies to explain investment structures and their risks and use him as a resource to keep out of harm's way.

Lee teaches short-term investing for University of California, Haas Business School, Executive Education Program, and has lectured for NYU, Stern School of Business. His entertaining workshops receive high honors from the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), American Management Association, Investment Management Institute, American Bankers Association and others. Lee is included in "Who's Who in International Finance" and is highlighted in the prestigious “Banking on Top Bankers."

Charles Furr
Sr. Vice President, Institutional Sales

A longtime resident of the Deep South, Charles is famous in the industry for his eclectic collections of rotary phones, toasters, and cats (he has six).

Our clients depend on Charles for trading esoteric, non-mainstream securities. His wide network of contacts makes him a valuable resource for finding buyers or sellers in that challenging market.

Charles has nearly 40 years experience trading securities. Prior to Money Market One, he served as vice president and managing director of Hibernia National Bank, Capital Markets Group, where his clientele included both regional and national financial institutions. He was also a senior vice president in regional institutional sales for Lehman Brothers. Charles holds a BA from the University of Mississippi, School of Business.

Jeff Markowski
Vice President, Institutional Sales

Jeff was born in Chicago, which is probably why he prefers beer over wine. His daily mission is to help his clients safely maximize the return on their corporate cash investments.

Jeff began his investment career with Morgan Stanley, where he dealt with a Fortune 500 clientele. From Morgan Stanley, he moved to a leading institutional tax arbitrage investment firm to spearhead their efforts into the short-term investment market.

Will Longstreth
Vice President, Institutional Sales

Operations manager Will Longstreth has worked for Money Market One since 2007. He graduated with a BS in electrical engineering and a BA in business management economics from the University of California, Santa Cruz in 2003. An accomplished cyclist, he has won multiple state championships and spent a season racing in Europe. Will has also founded a non-profit to support local junior cyclists.

Seda Kachatourian
Investment Accounting Manager

Seda lives in San Mateo with her husband Mike and daughter Tenny. Tenny is an exceptional student and very gifted artistically, with several awards to her credit. She commutes the 30 miles to the City on BART.

To our knowledge, Money Market One is the only firm that has a resource to insure data integrity relating to our client’s investments and reporting. Seda brings over fifteen years of experience in investment accounting. Our clients rely on Seda for their reporting, data integration needs and as a liason with their external auditors. They also depend on her to manage quarterly closes, regulatory reporting and the annual audit process.

Prior to joining the Firm in 2003, she served as Sr. Corporate Accountant with Fireman’s Fund Insurance Company where she was responsible for investment accounting and reporting for complex portfolios exceeding $8 billion. Besides money market instruments, she is well-versed with municipal and corporate notes and bonds, mortgage and asset-backed securities, and some of the more arcane securities that can often cause accounting headaches.
